Chelsea Combs is the founder and driving force behind Green Hill Contracting, a company built on integrity, innovation, and a deep connection to the Bull City community. As a proud fourth-generation Durham native, Chelsea brings not only a strong local presence but a genuine passion for helping her neighbours create homes they truly love.
Her journey into the remodeling industry was shaped by years of experience in executive recruitment and sharpened through the lens of her MBA, giving her a rare combination of business acumen, leadership, and people-first thinking.

Green Hill Contracting works with homeowners across Central North Carolina, including Apex, Cary, Chapel Hill, Clayton, Durham, Hillsborough, Holly Springs, Pittsboro, Raleigh and Wake Forest. If you are just outside those communities, call us and we will let you know whether we can help.
We handle interior and exterior remodeling: kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, whole-home renovations and attic finishing, along with the structural updates, layout changes and additions that go with them. Because we are a design-build remodeler, one team manages the project from the initial concept through to the final finishing touches.
Every project runs through four phases. Pre-design, where we understand your needs and goals. Design development, where our 3D renderings let you see the space before anyone lifts a hammer. Project development, where detailed planning and a dedicated project manager keep each phase moving. Then construction, where the plans become the home you wanted.
Yes. We produce 3D renderings during design development specifically so you can walk through the new space before any demolition begins. It is much easier to move a wall or change a layout on screen than it is once the work is underway.
It depends on the scope. Cosmetic work like painting, flooring or swapping cabinets without changing the layout usually does not need one, while removing walls, adding square footage, or relocating plumbing and electrical almost always does. We handle the permitting process for our clients so the project meets local requirements and building codes from the start.
